After watching his father Robbie capture the 30 lap ULMS sanctioned late model event, Max Blair would visit victory lane in the Crate Late Model feature after starting from the eighth position.
Derek Frank led the first four laps of the crate late model feature before Steve Dixon took over. Jason Stetson stopped for the first caution with six laps complete. Dixon took the outside for the restart with Frank second.
A two car incident with Bruce Hordusky Jr. and Randy Raynor ruined the restart. Dixon, Frank, Max Blair, Bradley Mesler and Justin Tatlow rounded out the top five. The green stayed out for just two laps then a yellow for a single car spin. Dixon, Blair and Tatlow were contesting the lead when the yellow flew for Raynor and Damien Bidwell.
Dixon lost the handle a lap after the restart relinquishing the lead to Blair with Tatlow second and Mesler third. Chad Ruhlman sent Tatlow back a spot then Kyle Scott spun for the sixth caution. Blair, Ruhlman, Tatlow, Mesler and Jason Genco led the field back to green. A six car incident ended the restart for caution number seven.
After a lengthy delay clearing the track Blair led the final five laps for his first win at Stateline Speedway.
