Rob Blair would benefit from Max Blair's late race misfortune, and hold off Greg Oakes to claim his third super late model win of the season at Eriez Speedway.

Chad Wright and Rob Blair were scheduled to start on the front row of the Jay’s Auto Wrecking Super Late Model feature but Wright was unable to start, experiencing brake problems when lining up, moving Max Blair to the pole next to his father, the two time defending champion.

The senior Blair led lap one with Max right behind but at the end of two Rob was lengthening his lead. Former champion Mike Knight was third in the early going with Greg Oakes fourth and John Lobb fifth. At the end of six laps Max was drawing alongside his father in the turns, using the low line around the track but momentum kept the W11 of Rob ahead in the straights.

At eleven laps into the event the leaders caught lapped traffic and the younger Blair was leading at the end of twelve. Before thirteen could be completed both Matt Urban and John Lobb came to a halt in turn four, slowing the event under caution. When green flag racing resumed Knight got by Rob Blair but only for a lap, then dropping back and losing third to Greg Oakes.

Opening night winner Chris Hackett then got by Knight for fourth at lap seventeen. Using the high line Oakes was pulling next to Rob Blair just as Max Blair pulled to the infield with two laps left, victim of a broken driveshaft. Rob Blair then pulled out to the lead again, and went on to his third win of the season over Oakes and Hackett, with John Volpe getting by Knight at the end.
