Joel Watson and Steve Kania were the front row for the New Motors Super Late Model finale but it was third starting Jake Finnerty leading after one lap of racing with fourth starting Max Blair second, Kania third, Bump Hedman fourth, and Dave Hess fifth. At five laps it was Matt Urban, Hedman, and Hess three wide for fourth roaring down the back chute.

Blair was the leader at six laps. The halfway point saw the top five as Blair, Finnerty, Urban, Hess, and Kania. Hess got by Urban at eleven as Blair was enjoying a full straight lead. The battle for second was now three wide among Hess, Finnerty, and Urban with Kania still fifth. At fourteen laps Blair caught the backmarkers while still increasing his lead to a full half lap at lap twenty when Wendell Pinckney spun in turn two.

On this restart Kania advanced to third. The front five at the end were Blair, Hess, Kania, Finnerty, and Gurdak. It was Blair’s third consecutive win in three weeks of racing.

The Bonnell’s Auto Group RUSH Late Models started their feature with an immediate yellow when David Parker spun in turn one. When the first lap was completed on the next try it was Kyle Zimmerman leading Breyton Santee, Max Blair, Bruce Hordusky, and Darrell Bossard.

Blair powered by Santee on the back stretch on lap three. The action was side by side for third at lap nine with Scott Gurdak and Santee fighting for the spot. At the halfway point Zimmerman and Blair were side by side at the line for the lead with Blair nosing ahead.

When the race completed it was Blair for his third consecutive RUSH Late Model win of the season at Eriez. Overall Blair has won six features at Eriez in 2019, three in each division he competes.
